Get ready for Cornnhole 2025! Do you want your name on the Champions plaque? Do you have what it takes? Want to find out while having a blast?

The 5th Annual Sleepy Hollow Cornhole Tournament will take place on Saturday, October 11, between 2 and 8pm at the Sleepy Hollow Community Center. This is a one-day tournament and will include group play, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. 

This year’s tournament will consist of 24 teams – 2 people per team and players must be 18 years or older. Registration will open today, Friday, September 12^th at 1 PM. Sign up by Saturday, September 20th to get the early bird price of $110/team ($55/per person). Cost goes up to $140/team ($70/per person) thereafter. We are expecting a waitlist so don’t delay in signing up! 

With the price of admission, each team will be guaranteed at least 4 games, each player will receive a taco stand meal and two drink tickets. Proceeds from this event will go towards swimming pool improvements. 

Tournament Format: As we have done in the past, the tournament will begin with "Group Play." The teams will be broken up into 4 "Groups" and every team signed up for the tournament will play at least a total of 4 games (playing each team in your group once). At the end of Group Play the top two teams from each group (based on wins and net points scored) will emerge to compete in the Quarterfinal Round, then Semi-Final Round and Finals.

The schedule for tournament day is as follows:

Saturday, October 11th:

• Opening Ceremony: 2:00 pm

• • National Anthem

  • Team Introductions

  • Tossing of the First Bag by SHHA President, Dave Baker

• Group Play: 2:30 – 6:00 pm

• • Group Play Games

  • First team to 15 wins; winning team can score more than 15 points; once game is complete record scores at scoring table

  • Play on a first come first serve basis, volunteers will be on premises to help coordinate games

  • We will have at least 5 sets of boards so multiple games can be played at once during group play

• Elimination Rounds (Quarter Finals and Semi Finals): 6:00 pm to 6:30pm

• • Quarter Final Round

  • Semi-Finals

• Final Round to Crown Champion: 6:30pm

• • Championship Game - Champion is Crowned and Awarded...

Once the field is set (teams all signed up) we will assemble and distribute the group play brackets for the Group Play rounds so you can see your path to glory and begin to strategize. As with last year, we encourage creativity around team names and outfits.

We look forward to another fun tournament and community event! Fans, friends and families are encouraged to come out and cheer on the teams in their quest for neighborhood glory. The swimming pool will be open until 6 PM for families and participants to enjoy. There will also be an opportunity to predict the winner of the tournament, if you guess right you can win SHHA swag.

As with last year, we will have a taco stand catered by Raul Miranda Taqueria.  Players will receive a complimentary taco stand wristband and two drink tickets. All others can purchase taco & quesadilla plates for $15. Food will be served 3-7 PM. The snack bar will be open with beer, wine, and soda for purchase. Stay tuned for sign up link to volunteer.
